Stephen Brown

Stephen Brown is a social good partnerships expert and content producer. Stephen is the former Global Vice President at Global Citizen, overseeing their corporate and media partnerships and strategy. He has produced more than 20 global TV music festivals and TV specials for Global Citizen.  He has over 15 years of experience working with the world’s biggest brands and media companies, including Verizon, Cisco, Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Citi, Delta Airlines, Gucci, Comcast, Youtube, and NBC Comcast Universal, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime. Stephen led a number of Global Citizen’s largest campaigns and events, including numerous donor government replenishment campaigns, successfully securing donor government and corporate new commitments to the UN SDGs, and produced global events and TV, including Madela 100 - the 100th Birthday Celebration of Nelson Mandela, and One World: Together at Home for NBC, CBS, ABS, and the BBC. He spent 10 years producing the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, and subsequent global iterations in Mumbai, Johannesburg, Montreal, Hamburg, and London. 

Before joining Purpose Union, Stephen consulted for a number of private and not-for-profit organizations, including SoulCycle, The Archewell Foundation, Target, Invisible Hand, Penny Appeal, Instagram, and The Power of Nutrition. 

Stephen has received a number of awards for his work, including a Third Sector Award, x2 Shorty Awards, and most recently, a Webby Award for his work on One World: Together at Home. Stephen is the former National Secretary of the National Union of Students UK, and a Labour Party Campaign lead. British-born but based in New York City for nearly a decade, Stephen has extensive knowledge of the US corporate and third-sector landscapes.
