Heather Vernon has extensive experience in strategic communications. She has held senior positions in the not-for-profit sector, and was previously a Political Advisor to the Labour Party under three different leaders.

In these roles she delivered successful campaigns, media relations and crisis management, and became highly skilled at advocacy and policy development.

Heather has a particular specialism in education. Having begun her career teaching in challenging schools, she later worked extensively on education and youth issues at a range of organisations.

Her current and previous consultancy clients include the United Nations, Virgin Unite, Big Change, Teach First, the Chartered College of Teaching, the Institute of Education, the Educational Collaborative for International Schools, the NSPCC, Demos and a range of business leaders and parliamentarians.

Heather has worked internationally in the United States and Europe. She studied Modern Languages at the University of Oxford, and speaks fluent French and German.
